About Us
Est. 2018
The Ravensthorpe Beer Festival & Family Day was established in 2018, by a small group of friends. We wanted to put on a fun event while raising money for the playing field, pavilion and children’s play area. We started with a single day event, without knowing if it would work or if anyone turn up!
Since then, we’ve grown year on year, and always try to offer something new and exciting each time. We felt strongly that providing free children’s entertainment on the Saturday is really important, giving the whole family a chance to relax and have fun, and that’s continues to be central to our approach. While it takes months of planning and a lot of hard word, it’s great to see lots of people enjoying themselves, and it’s always well worth it!
We really look forward to seeing you at the next one.
Ravensthorpe Memorial Playing Field
The Ravensthorpe Memorial Playing Field charity was founded in 1949. As a key village resource providing recreational grounds and facilities to the surrounding areas of Northamptonshire, it’s always been run by local volunteers. The charity’s primary aim is to provide a safe and fun space for all the community to use and enjoy, young and old.
Securing the long term future of the playing field, pavilion and children’s play area is critical, and wherever possible we work closely with other local businesses, institutions and charities to continue to bring benefit to the village and surrounding areas. Current projects include raising funds for a new large piece of children’s play equipment, and refurbishing the pavilion and playing field.
